When fitting, building the legs and belly line is an important concept. During this “Tips from Stock Show University®” article, Tess Mittag, Stock Show University® Manager, shares some general information and advantages of why you need to add Sullivan’s black Powder’Ful to your fitting routine.
If you look around a chute or a stand when fitting, it will be very common for you to see cans of Sullivan’s Powder’ful and Blizzard nearby. Just like those products, black Powder’ful is a hair thickening powder designed to enhance the hair-building process by adding depth and dimension to each individual hair follicle. When used, it delivers a fuller, more natural look without weighing the hair down or creating a heavy, clumpy, or artificial appearance.
Even though that the white Powder’ful is the more popular choice with our customers between the two colors, black Powder’ful is one of the most underrated products when building a leg or belly line on a black-hided animal. By using black Powder’Ful, you can add to the building process along with starting to change the leg or belly back to the natural black color without using as much black touch-up paint. You will still have to use black touch-up paints such as Sullivan’s Flat Out and Blackout, but you will just not have to use as much if you have the base covered with black Powder’Ful.
